On Our Anniversary

I remember when I took your hand, 
And looked you in the eye;
I vowed to love and cherish you,
Until the day I die.
Years have a way of going by,
So much of life has passed.
But the love I pledged on our wedding day,
Is a love that will always last.

Surviving many tests and trials,
It stood the test of time;
This love for you has grown stronger,
Deep within this heart of mine.
We truly have become one flesh,
In God's great mystery;
Today I pledge my vows again,
On our anniversary.
