Presidential Prayers
The weight of the world on his shoulders,
The mountains to climb so high;
The cause that hangs in the balance,
Whether men live in freedom or die!

We promised to always pray for him.
But, no one makes us bend our knees.
Do not forget to pray for our President,
Who must fight foes unseen.
He stepped right in line with our thinking,
Addresses a God he loves.
The Book that he studies for answers ~
Inspired by the Lord above.

He
is doing his part, not shirking,
While we (with a duty to pray)
Sometimes forget our pledges;
Ere we kneel at the close of the day.
So, lets, each, remember to insert his name
In the prayers we say every night,
As we watch the aging take place on his face
Waging war with the enemy of right.

We owe it. We count it a duty.
But, its freely we bow our knees
To pray for our President and leaders,
And the land of the brave and the free!
"More things are wrought by prayer
than this world dreams of."
