OUR CHILDREN

When children are young
let them walk in the sun
Encourage them to reach for the stars

Never hesitate to let them know
that even after they grow
it is still okay to give hugs and kisses

If you have a son or daughter 
join with them in laughter
Always try to be a part of their life

If they are five, fifteen or thirty
It can be hard and it can be easy
But you can always smile when you know
you’ve done your best

I hope my children will never stop bringing me flowers
When I am old and gray, I hope they never forget
I tried to teach them all I know 
about Jesus, Life and Politics
I hope they know
I’ve done my best.
