Santa's Secret
Santa knows, right down to his toes,
that presents and glittering trees
aren't reason enough for him to stuff
his sack with goodies to please.
Why does he fly, way up in the sky,
on a cold and freezing night,
when he could fly in the month of July
and be warm on his round-the-world
flight?
The reason you see, is that Santa is free
to fly and do magical things
when the world settles down and loses its frown
in the glory that Christmastime brings.
Love fills the air without a
care,
we're tender and warm and kind.
Night meets the day in a powerful way
and trouble is hard to find.
Bundled in love, we don't push or shove,
the world is a marvelous place.
Peace stands tall, and covering it all
is a blanket of snowy
lace.
If you're kind
all year, then
you, my dear,
hold this secret
deep inside:
Reindeer can't
fly, or Santa
stop by
till love fills
the world far
and wide.
