The Heart Of A Child
From the first inhalation of breath,
at the sacred moment of birth,
great faith abounds in the heart of a child
as their journey begins on earth.
The rhythm of a newborn heart,
heralds a harmony tune.
Their tiny illumination -
as incandescent as a harvest moon.
Born to a world they trust in full,
They love without condition.
And you, as the caretaker of that soul,
are accorded an honored position.
A dear and beloved gift is bestowed,
the miracle of life anew,
when heaven releases a precious child
and hands them over to you.
