A Father's Heart

He may not always show it,
But still it's always there;
Tucked away inside of him,
Is a Father's heart that cares.

The tender love for his children,
May be hard for him to show;
But it shines each time he says your name,
And is deeper than you know.

For there in the heart of your father,
In that quiet, sensitive place;
Is a precious love for his children,
That reflects there on his face.

Every time he speaks of you,
His voice is filled with pride;
Each word a loving reflection,
Of the way he feels inside.

So, if he does not show it,
That love is always there;
Deep inside of your father,
Is a heart that will always care.
